Hello this morning I tried connecting a sata dvd drive into my pc. When I tried to reboot it turned off and on again rapidly and fired up with no signal.

Ive tried reseting the ram, disconnecting and reconnecting everything, pluging the power cord out and holding down the power button and resetting the cmos battery. I don't think the psu is at fault as it is practically new. I think it some issue with a drive as this is the area that I was working on.

Get rid of the drive and try again?

Afaik a derpy cd drive should just let the system hang, not turn off, unless it's a power issue.
