Best recording software

I'm not A content creator. I just was to record clips so i can show them to my friends. I have been using the record that thing on windows for a while now. And it is really inconsistent. Is there anything else that I can use to "record that". I was thinking of using OBS but I don't want OBS recording all the time because I know they don't have a "record that" option.

if you have an Nvidia graphics card then you could use shadow play. It has a feature that will record the last 30 (although i believe you can alter it) seconds of gameplay. Its way more reliable than the recording with windows game bar.

If you have WIndows 10, you can use the built-in game recorder feature.

Just hit Win+G in a game and hit the record button, or you can enable last 30 sec recording from there (you can also enable that feature to be turned on all the time).

Simple to use and has a variety of options.
