which is considered a better cooling fluid - i read EKWB's web and they say their glycerol solution

others seem to suggest solutions that are basically distilled water with some additives for bacteria or microbacteria growth

at 72 yrs old, you start to wonder who to believe - i do recall working as a mechanic that ethylene glycol (anti-freeze) in solutions greater than 50/50 with water lost efficiency in

cooling the engine

any suggestions, input, advice greatly appreciated

Both work well it just depends on it's application and materials that the fluid will be in contact with. Common in hardline tubing PETG is not a very chemically resistant plastic to where glycols can affect some PETG compositions making glycerol more favorable.

As for good fluids EKWB and Mayhems both make good coolants in both transparent and opaque series.

thanks again

i've been assembling my component order all day and realized i'd forgotten the fluid

just get some distilled water for now, order some ek concentrate such as EK cryofuel add it to the loop

Some distilled water will not do any harm to the loop for a week or so.
