Plz Help

Tuckplace12

Hey guys and Merry Christmas,

So I just installed a new CPU, MB and RAM. I went from Intel to AND. I have a Ryzen 7 2700X, 16 GB HyperX DDR4 Ram and a AORUS Gaming 7 MB. I can't get it to post. Everything is plugged in and the lights and fans all come on when I turn it on. All the parts in my PC are on but there is no video and the keyboard and mouse aren't even powered. It keeps switching post codes And I can't hear any beeps. It doesn't appear to be boot looping either. Already cleared the CMOS but that didn't help. Anyone have any ideas?

You have to have the mobo speaker connected to get beep codes?

What codes are you getting?

I have done that twice. Also my RAM was running in quad channel so I popped two sticks out

did you plug in the monitor to the motherboard perhaps? there is no intergrated graphics to show you anything on that chip

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

There is no code 4b in the manual. I'm not getting any beeps and it has settled in on that post code. Also all of the LEDs turned off on the MB.

Have you tried to move the ram to different channels

It helped, LEDs are on again but it's shuffling post codes again. Is it possible I have the CPU mounted wrong or would it not do this at all if it wasn't?

The shuffling of the post codes means the motherboard is error checking, does it stop on a specific code?

This wouldn't happen with a bad cpu mount.

Ohhhhh i remember linus did a vid on this

his pc wouldn't post due to ram speed and compatibility!

Well my RAM is HyperX predator 4x4 GB. It does say Intel XMP certified on the box but wouldn't it still work fine?
