Gpu artifacts if not upside down??

BOBWARPATH

So, I put the gpu on a testbench and flipped the whole thing upside down one day, AND THE ARTIFACTING IS GONE. But heres's the catch... Device manager says its a regular windows display card, amd catalyst is in running list, msi adterbuner sees its a msi gtx 570 frozr III, and nvidia gpu driver wont install onto it. Any suggestions??

Could be bad connection on any on chip or any other part of gpu.It is quite old,as you flipped it gravity apply pull in different directions and kind of temporary fix artifacts.

Quite frankly bake the it.It does really help with these old cards and artifacts issues.Driver wont install because 500 series are no longer supported, get a legacy driver.Just google gtx 570 driver.

I don't have an extra oven to bake it in, so I currently have it in a Pentium 4 system running resident evil benchmark to heat it upside down. Also what should I look for as far as drivers?? seems all that I find is bios revisions. And ive tried flashing bios, says it isn't there

An oven would do. 10 minutes and 180c or 356f. You will never heat it up properly running it in the system. It needs to disassembled and only bare mobo goes to oven.

Here are all compatible drivers https://www.geforce.com/drivers

Just choose gtx 570 in drop down menu and press search.

I downloaded from there,500 series, All goes well, until it checks for compatability, and then no dice. Program terminates itself. Tried on 3 different pcs, 1 amd, 2 intel, nothing.

Geforce driver does that in case it doesn't recognize compatible hardware. It just close itself, without telling you what is wrong.Only reason why it does that if you got driver older than march 2018 is that your card is not detected properly. As you tried different configurations,at this point you can only try to bake card and hope it will wake up properly.Cause most likely card has more issues than artifacts and it seems they are all related to cold connection/bad soldier point.Otherwise it would not run or post whatsoever.
