Already on wired, still lost as to what an access point is, I feel like the name says it all but not smart enough to see how

access point is what takes the wired and makes it wireless.

If its an issue on wired, then you probably need a new router and modem.

Id call up your isp to see what modems you can use with your service.

So I've started to notice more and more that when I have more than 7 people connected to my internet, it either gets worse than it already is and starts dropping out almost every other minute. My question is if this is an issue with my provider or if my router should be the one getting an upgrade?

All I can say is that system32 didn't seem that important at first alright?

Is this when using wifi only or wired?

What router, modem and access point are you using?

Is everything up to date.

on wired, Zyxel AMG1302-T11C as router and modem I guess since its the only box I have for internet stuff, and to be honest I don't have any idea what the difference is between a router, modem, or access point. But I do know that I updated the firmware on the magic internet box a month or so ago, and everything pc wise is up to date.

All I can say is that system32 didn't seem that important at first alright?

Thats probably your problem. Id get a seprate router and modem, see what modem your isp suggests, and get a better router, something midrange.

Ah you see that in fact is where part of my issue lies, this magic box o' internet was given to me by my isp, should I get something else? Suggestions if possible?

Whats your isp? What cable are they running to your house?

You can normally buy a seprate modem

Currently in Greece, ISP here is Wind and I'm pretty sure its DSL because thats the one with the phone wire, right? In case you need it, I'm on a 50mbps plan and that drops down to around 5-10 according to speedtest.net when people are over.

Are you using wifi? Im guessing thats your problem. Try seeing if wired will make it better.

You can easily add your own wifi access point if thats the issue.

Well you do not get 50 per person so if it drops when you have people over to 5-10 you are basically 5 people sharing the bandwidth.
