I have a 3570k just going to waste from my old system and don't want to let it go to waste, so I want to build a really basic system just for websurfing and simple tasks. Is this enough? what does H61 chipset limit?

As I recall the H61 chipset allows for onboard video but no overclocking.

The cooler and psu might be a bit more expensive than necessary but that cooler will be quiet and that PSU should be well built. So if that's what you want then sure.

My rig: 2600k(4.2 GHz) w/ Cooler Master hyper 212+, Gigabyte Z68-UD3H-B3, Powercolor 7870 xt(1100/1500) w/AIO mod,

8GB DDR3 1600, 120GB Kingston HyperX 3K SSD, 1TB Seagate, Antec earthwatts 430, NZXT H2

Verified max overclock, just for kicks: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2609399

Use the stock CPU cooler. You won't need the CPU cooler.

stock cooler is fine.

not like you're overclocking anyway.

you are correct I won't need it, but I want this thing inaudible

there's literally nothing it can do to generate heat without a GPU and on h61 chipset.

Just set the fan curve for aggressive silence and run the CPU at "warm but not hot" temperatures and it will be quiet.

it's pointless to put a different cooler on there really, but your money do as you wish.

Error: 410

Stock CPU cooler isn't that loud. You can always turn down the CPU cooler fan.

this is true, this would be the last thing I buy anyway if I found I couldn't take the stock cooler.

as long as h61 allows intergrated graphics I'm happy! I obviously won't be overclocking anything
