When i turned on my pc,my HDD started to make a strange whirring sound as it booted up. But then it stopped once I've gotten to the log-in screen. I decided to see what happened via Crystaldiskinfo and saw this:Untitled.png.8f4a690bd03f191d3aa1a4d5cacc6a59.png

Is there something I can do to fix this? Should I worry about a sudden data loss?

This isn't fixable, no. This means there are sectors waiting for reallocation. It's taking a bad sector and replacing it with a spare one. Once this process starts, more sectors will follow and the drive will eventually fail.

I personally wouldn't use the drive for critical data anymore and replace it. It's still fine for stuff that's completely unimportant.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

ah hell, that doesn't sound to good. Can I at least slow this process or at least make it stop for a little time, since I do not have time nor the budget to buy a new HDD?

The speed of the process depends entirely on your particular drive. It can take a month before it fails, 5 years, or even a week. Nobody knows.

The only thing to slow the process is to not use it.

either way,do you know an app or something that I can store my important data since I do not have any other things to store my data? (outside of my 240gb ssd which only has 70 or so gb left of free storage)
