i get very high packet loss while playing online games in day time while at night past 1am connection is super good and i dnt get any issues

i contacted the ISP about the issue and he said he will only look into the matter if my speed is getting reduced by any reason (he cannot understand what horrible things packet loss causes in games)

upon talking to bunch of people there they said me that when many guys in my area use the internet i might be getting that issue which would not happen at night as many will be asleep

what can i do from my end to reduce the packet loss in day as staying up at night always to play is really hard to do

changing the isp is not a option coz its the only isp here

please help

Sounds like you're on a residential xDSL connection. Those are always shared. If your entire neighborhood uses the internet at the same time, the total bandwidth is distributed evenly to all users. There is a chance the infrastructure is overloaded, that causes delays and that raises ping which is most noticeable in online games.

Basically, there's not much you can do about it except switch infrastructure, which, I imagine, is also not an option. By that I mean going from DSL to fiber.
