Can anyone rank the display cables from 1 to 4? I want to know which one I should get for my PC Build. Thanks.

Displayport >  HDMI > DVI > VGA

 

DVI can be better than HDMI in some scenarios, but most modern cards don't support it anymore so monitors will gradually get rid of it as well.

 

Some resolutions and refresh rates are supported only on some versions of HDMI, for example you need HDMI 2.0 to get 4K 60fps. Displayport is more versatile, supports more things etc etc.
