I'm actually in a similar situation. I checked my local Fry's but I must be 18 to get a job there. I'm 17.

You could try BestBuy or similar big box places. They usually like to run a lot of part time people because they have the management power, and they don't have to give them benefits. They're also generally lower wage workers.

Is there a Microcenter near you?

I live in Canada so we don't have microcenter but we do have microbytes which I assume is the Canadian equivalent.

If you have a local PC technician that you know, you could maybe work as an "assistant".  Sure the money probably wouldn't be that great, but you'd learn loads about computers and how bitchy people can be.

I might try that because I don't really care about the money I just want some hands on experience with computers. Thanks

Enroll in your local community college and learn programming. You'll earn credit for your high school and college degree. Independent web and application doesn't pay much, but it's good experience plus you can slack off on your senior year of high school and will be taking less general education in college.

Perhaps try and ask the manager at your local tech store for some unpaid work experience, why you may ask? So that when you apply for paided jobs when you are older you will have a better chance at getting the job over someone else due to you having experience ;D #hacks

You could help recycle computers at the local recycle center, as you know what is what and can sort it better than a non computer person. Hey its a start... B)

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.
