I have my first build and want to overclock the R5 2600X in it to 4.2 or maybe even 4.3ghz if i get lucky. I know Ryzen chips default voltage is already higher than what the chip needs to run at the stock speed so I want to undervolt the chip first to see how I am going to overclock it. The thing is, I don't know how to undervolt. ?

Can someone give me a list or something of how I should proceed with undervolting? Thanks.

Go into the BIOS, lower the voltage just a little bit, save and exit and then go do a stress test in AIDA64 (just get the free version). When I say a little bit, I really do mean hundredths or thousands of a voltage. Rinse and repeat until it fails in AIDA64 (crashes).

For when you're starting to undervolt, you can probably take a bigger leap in how much voltage you're taking away, then start to take away smaller amounts as you're getting closer to how much your CPU actually needs.
