Overclocking resolution

New to Overclocking here. I play on 4K, so my question is what resolution should I use when Overclocking? I see people Overclocking in 1080p is that because most people use 1080p?

My other question once I get a stable Overclock will it work for every game? Or will I have to manually find a stable OC for that game?

Edit: I am learning to overclock my GPU.

I'm a little bit confused by what your actual question is...

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus ROG Strix B650E / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Powercolor RX 7900 XTX Red Devil/ EVGA 750W GQ / NZXT H5 Flow

You want to overclock your videocard?

Well you do that, if you think the performance of your videocard is not how you want it to be. Doesn't matter at what resolution you're playing.

Generally you just test the OC in a demanding game and it should work in every other game, but some games may demand a bit more of your GPU causing instability anyways.

on slim screens is better to use the native resolution of the panel otherwise the image gets blurry af

Reason I asked was because I found a guide online where they recommended to use a resolution of 1080p on a 4K monitor.

You’ll have been really helpful!
