Refurbished Power Supply

So I'm buying this PSU, the Corsair CX550M (The Gray lineup) 80+ Bronze Semi-Modular power supply. I got it for a mere $50 including tax. It was Certified Manufacturer Refurbished by Corsair and is packaged with a minimum 90-day warranty. If it was manufacturer refurbished by Corsair themselves, should I worry about it being faulty? I doubt they would sell a PSU with a warranty if it was defective.

At $50 it wasn't much of a deal. You can often find 600 or 650W good power supplies for like 60 or 70 online... new.

 

But yes, if it was refurbished by corsair I wouldn't worry about it.

I originally had an EVGA SuperNOVA G1+ 650W 80+ Gold Full Modular PSU but I later realized that it did not fit in my case.

Refurbished by corsair means it was a unwanted return, or had coil whine (very much dependant on component choice and house wiring if it'll whine or not). They wouldn't bother repairing it, not worth the cost.

Has anyone had first hand experience with Corsair refurbished products? In particular their power supplies. I want to see if a refurbished Corsair CX550M 80+ Bronze Semi-Modular PSU will be good and up to normal Corsair standards.
