I have a build with an ssd hhd and cdrom drive.. i have a newer psu with 3 sata cables. does it matter which sata cable plugs into which drive? Theres nothing on the power cords that say sata cable 1 sata cable 2 ect. Theres absolutely no way to tell on this psu. I'm guessing. is there anyway to tell without guessing? just wondering in a perfect world i would want sata power cable one plugged into the ssd. ect. thanks

I always ran my SATA devices on the same cable and never had a problem.

You me as to quote people for then to get a notification that you responded to them. You likely won't get answers of you don't quote someone when asking them questions. You can also @ them as well if you prefer. As far as your question I would have to ask if you installed Windows on the sad already.

The one on the hhd of course. But back up everything you need before you do that

oh and now my cpu is boosting up to 90% + usage.. is that just because the ssd is so fast now or what.. it used to never go 100% cpu usage.. PROBLEM.

That could be for many reasons.

You have to quote people otherwise we have no idea who you are talking about. Underneath someone's response Is an arrow that points to the left. You hit that to quote some or you can just @ them as another option. Anyways you still didn't answer if you have installed Windows on the ssd.

So you installed onto the ssd using the usb boot drive. As long as you did it correctly you will just have to select the ssd. It could be that you have a partition in the ssd and it is asking what part of the ssd do you want to boot from. It could also be the case that the computer is failing to recognize the ssd so although you have the ssd as the priority to boot from it still won't boot because it can't find it.

and btw i totally figured out which sata power cables where 1, 2 and 3. 3 was the easiest one because it's technically not a sata cable its the 4 prong oldschool kind i had to buy an adapter for. So i used that one for the cd rom. Then it was just as easy as swapping out the ssd and hhd until the sata powercable fell first into the ssd sata port zero.(1) on my pc. wooo. balance to the force.
