This is my current setup except without the surge protector. I'm planning to buy that surge protector and I'm wondering whether it will work.

I've actually have had this setup for the last 10 years. Just without the surge protector. So far, no fire.

i have no idea what im looking at.

but it's not really recommended to plug in any powerboard/double adapter into another powerboard/double adapter.

You would be better off just getting a couple of powerboards with a built in surge protector (and connect each one to a different wall socket). to many devices connected to it could just trip it because of the amount of current you're trying to draw from a single socket

Technically it would work, but there's far to many points of failure in there, not to mention added bulk.
