If you're going for high-refresh rate gaming on that 180Hz monitor (I'm sorry to say) you're better off going Intel for your CPU.  Games are better optimized for Intel for now and you'll pull more frames (especially since you've picked a $500 GPU, the Ryzen 5 can still somewhat bottleneck that in CPU IPC-heavy games).  I'd look at the i5-8600k or even i5-9600k if the price is right.

Also unless you place high-value on ray tracing, a GTX 1080 Ti would be a better bang/buck GPU if you can still find one for under $550 (or on the used market, where great GPU deals can be had compared to buying new RTX cards).

I agree with @LogicWeasel. For high refresh rate, you need an Intel CPU.

I'm speaking from personal experience. I had R5 1600 and now I have R7 2700x overclocked to 4.1Ghz, and I still get lower FPS in CPU heavy games like Battlefield 5 compared to people who are using Intel i5 8600k. FPS difference goes from 30 and above when using same GPU (GTX1080), which is a pain when I'm on 144Hz monitor.

Right now I'm waiting for Z390 and i5 9600k upgrade. And I suggest you getting similar parts.

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Zotac RTX 5090 SOLID OC/ x2 WD_BLACK NS770 2TBs/ Corsair HX1000i/ NZXT H5 Flow

No idea about the system but to answer your subject line "First Build Advice"

Mine would be to learn lots, have fun, and enjoy the building process. As it is reasonably quick (few days normally) and then it just sits somewhere.

:)

Thanks!

You aren't going to push Ryzen far and going with the X equivalent isn't really worth it. Drop to the 2600 and switch the cooler to something in the CM Hyper 212 / Cryorig H7 range. Use the savings for a better SSD with more storage.

I am buying all the products in India as I live here. The RTX 2070 is 40k INR (~500$) cheaper than GTX 1080ti.

Which motherboard would you suggest to go along with the i5-9600k?

Thanks for your suggestion. Sadly, the parts which you have listed are more expensive in India (which is where I am buying them from) and they exceed my budget.

I'm getting Z390 Aorus Elite because I've already built and tested this board with the same CPU (9600k), its a very nice board for overclocking.

I am not sure which merchant you are looking at buying from, but since PCPartPicker has an India option I tried it out.  This is the kind of build I would steer toward.  I tried to use the case you picked out but take the prices with a grain of salt because it seems to only be able to use Amazon India.  I did also leave out the Monitor as the options were limited and you seem to have your own picked out.

This should give you a rough idea of what to prioritize and that you may have room in your budget for a GTX 1080 or 1080 Ti instead of the (still) overpriced RTX 2070.

Side note: I did choose the 8600k based on price compared to the very small upgrade the 9600k offers.  There is no way that it's worth paying another 9,000 rupees (I converted that to USD and I would under no circumstance pay $125 dollars more for an Intel refresh chip of the same class of CPU).  If you find a merchant who is asking only 1,400 INR more (than the 23,400 price of 8600k) for the 9600k than it might be worth upgrading.
