Laptop Suggestion

Hello everyone.

I made a topic yesterday about a PC build and uh it didn't go so well.

So I need a laptop recommendation

Budget is 1 Lakh INR (Rs.1,00,00)

Its approximately 1389.70 USD.

Remember to select India prices when suggesting.

There is a lot of inflation here.

The requirement is a GTX 1060 6GB

I believe it can pass 60 fps on GTA V high and around 50 fps on Ultra.

If it can't, then feel free to suggest another laptop that can do that.

Thanks for all help

All help is appreciated

Please no Trolling :D

Sites are

Newegg global store (India)

mdcomputers

amazon.in

I personally prefer a PC over laptop

But my friend needs a laptop for gaming and I wanna suggest a good one to him

Well the parameters are that it should be able to get above 60 fps in GTA V high and on ultra somewhere around 60 fps.

Don't try to blow the budget though, pre-plan stuff. There is a lot of inflation on tech products here like a 10k VAT tax on a 25600 part + Shipping + Inflation.

Weight probably doesn't matter much.

You need a 1060 but it seems like there isn't any decent 1060 laptop under 10k INR

Um the budget is 1 Lakh Rs.

Its Rs.10,00,00

Thats like 1390.43$ Approx.

10k INR is Rs.10,000

139.04$ Approx.

Of course you wouldn't find a good 1060 6 GB laptop in that budget.

Then this will not be achievable, need to dial down settings

You should probably read  the whole reply before posting maybe?

(Ultra Facepalm)

Im remarking about the fact that you forgot to take a zero.

1 lakh INR is 100,000 (100k) (1390.43$)

Not 10,000 (10k) (139.04$)

Wikipedia - Indian numbering system

"In India 150,000 rupees becomes 1.5 lakh rupees, written as ₹1,50,000 or INR 1,50,000"

you have a budget of 1390.43$.

How is that not achievable?

Honestly you are at the very bottom of the price range for what you want.

Just taking a quick look at newegg global the y7000 is an okay choice. The helios 300 is in your budget, but will thermal throttle, youd be better off finding a laptop that can actually cool itself. The y520 can be had as well albeit with last gen i7-7700hq.

Hmm. How about a 1050 Ti.

I think it will get 60 fps on GTA V High and 30-40 fps on Ultra.

Seems okay.

I'm buying a G3 or Nitro 3 for myself but my freind has a high budget so I want to give him a better one. Suggest me a good one on the G3/Nitro 3 range too if you want. Thanks.

Ah I knew that there must be some good laptops in this range. What would you personally recommend.

Can you get me a good one too for 60k INR. But I will be buying mine 3 years later.

Don't forget to check newegg.com and mdcomputers.in along with amazon.in

All 3 are good choices, just compare specs. There is a chance of QC issue on both 3 models though (very common in laptop nowadays)

Then ask after 3 years haha (if I'm still here)

For comparison:

Build quality (exterior): GL703GM>GP63>Y7000 (still considered 'good')

Cooling: GP63>Y7000,GL703GM (still considered 'good')

Display: GP63 and GL703GM have 120Hz TN, Y7000 has good sRGB 60Hz IPS

Keyboard: GP63,Y7000>GL703GM (still considered 'good')

Design: Y7000>GP63>GL703GM

Portability: GP63,Y7000>GL703GM

QC/QA: MSI and Asus have horror stories on QC/QA, Lenovo Legion line also has issues but not much

Audio: GL703GM>GP63,Y7000 (still considered 'good')

What else you wanted to know?

I see you have not mentioned Flipkart.com. Is there an issue with flipkart? Or personal preference. Becuse there are many more choices for laptops with 1050Ti on flipkart and under very reasonable prices.

For Example - Asus TUF Series i5 8th gen availale for 79990 INR

Oh and this one looks almost perfect with 16GB Ram i7 8th gen and a 1060 - MSI GV Series available for 87990
