hey guys, i just recently swapped my rx590 for an rtx2070

i mainly play black ops 4 right now and i used to play on maxed out settings back when i had the rx590. was hitting 120+ fps all time

now on my 2070 i barely hit 100 fps on maxed out and gpu time increases in combat so its hard to win gunfight when playing ultra.

how come? isnt the 2070 supposed to be the stronger card? it cost me 250€ more

One of the latest Nvidia Driver update has significantly decreased the performance of Nvidia GPUs on certain systems. Maybe update your drivers on Geforce experience. If you already have the latest drivers, try to scale back to a prior driver version.

I have both a 590 and a 1070 and the 590 does much better in Black Ops 4 than the 1070, even though it's a more powerful card.  This is at 1080p 144hz.  Kind of surprising and I don't know why but it does.  I would still have guessed the 2070 would do a lot better though so might be the specific driver that it doesn't like.

system specs are r5 2600x with corsair rgb 3200mhz 2x8

yes my drivers are up to date, they're on 417.35

at this resolution, with this CPU you are MORE THAN LIKELY CPU bound in that game? what is your GPU usage while playing?

| CPU: Core i7-8700K @ 4.89ghz - 1.21v  Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING  CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 |

He says he is getting worse performance between 2 GPU's with the SAME CPU. So we are not talking about being CPU limited here.

Perhaps the game is just better optimized for AMD GPU's? It is possible.. though you might need to try different drivers.
