Does this air cooler exist?

Is an air cooler where the heatpipes cover the whole IHS and turned itself on the tower/heatsink linking the vapor chambers to the heatsink directly even a possible thing? this came to my mind and I can't stop thinking now.

 

Image your cooler being just one single piece of copper with black fans, and it sounds like i'd excel at heat dissipation.

 

Or am I being dumb and there's a clear reason why not.

The Cooler Master V8 GTS has a vapor chamber... and kind of looks like what you described.

 

EDIT: Also the CM TPC-812 employs vapor chambers

You mean like... instead of heatpipes and aluminium fins, just have fin-like extensions of the heatpipes/vapor chambers?

 

Heatpipes and vapor chambers are expensive and difficult to make to begin with, if you make bigger and more complicated shapes with them, you're making things a lot harder and more expensive for no appreciable gain.

Not even to an exotic audience kind of deal? because they could look really unique and appealing, though I understand the level of complexity this may go

Making a slightly bigger cooler would be cheaper and easier.

i doubt it

 

that would be stupid expensive and probably the reason it doesn't exists, besides that it would be cool to see and if it works.

i'd even love to see how a whole copper noctua d15 would perform vs the normal version
