Need help with ram clearance

You could get the noctua NH-D15 because it has movable fans

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Eh, the hyper x predator ram is very tall, I don't think you could move the fan out of the way enough while still fitting in a mid-tower case.

You could buy the NH-D15S, which is the single fan version. Or just.... you know... not install the 2nd fan.

What about aio cooler with good performance around 90$ ?

Might want to go ask the "water cooling" section of the forum. We don't deal with liquids here. ;)

That said, I don't think you'll find an AIO around $90 that will sufficiently cool your CPU.

so you are sayin there is no way i fit 4 ram slots with dr 4

Here, let me do the research for you.

Dark Rock Pro has a ram clearance of 40mm according to the dimensions.

The hyper x predator ram has a height of 42.2 mm.

You could very likely just move the fan up 2 mm and be fine using all 4 slots. Or buy shorter ram.

Pretty much every cooler has movable fan. Thats not the issue. Main issue with cooler compatibility is cooler fins extending over RAM slots.

With non-pro you can fit all 4. And only thing you need to do is to move fan to other side as pull.

The fan will block the first ram slot. If you move the fan to the other side in pull, it should fit fine but performance will be slightly worse.

There might be a better option available. Where are you shopping / located?

I will always recommend the Thermalright Le Grand Macho RT as it doesn't have any RAM clearance issue for the same performance to NH-D15, and it's less stress to think about performance by moving the fan from here to there, lift the fan by this high because the RAMs are this high and the clearance is that high.

Le Grand Macho RT will just simply plug-and-play rather than plug-and-pray.
