Ok so I am going to keep this short does the ryzen 5 2600 work out of the box with the ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F or should I just go with a ryzen 7 1700

I believe a 350 board will need a BIOS update. Why not get the 2600 and buy a B450 board for like 10-20 dollars more?...

Because the ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F is on sale for like 1/2 off and it’s 80

Do you have a friend that you can use to upgrade the motherboard? That would be the easiest way to get the bost of both worlds. I'd still spend $30-$40 more to get that 2600 CPU
