No, and I don't think there'll ever be support for it. I mean, it's a console for gaming... They already have a GPU (sort of). It would be a bad business move on Sony and Microsoft's part to enable upgrades on their consoles.

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

It wouldn't do anything. Games on consoles are optimized to that particular hardware config. Just like macOS is to Apple computers. Having more GPU power wouldn't show anywhere exept your wallet and power bill.

No there is no thunderbolt on it and even if they did it would use some proprietary connector

That would defeat the purpose of a console, wich has one Hardware for all.

Because the Hardware is the same, you can optimize better to this hardware. And it "just works™"

With external GPUs you run into the driver issue problem wich you don't want on the Console, so that would defeat the purpose of the console.

Another Thing: Thunderbolt right now is a proprietary Intel Thing...

No, it has to be an internal. Biggest problem though is trying to find the SLI bridges, couldn't find one to run my 980 Ti in Crossfire with the default Bonaire gpu tbh.
