People still use Molex in 2018?

i use it to power my pump and to run my LEDs, its cheaper to buy a molex to nothing than a SATA to nothing for me at least but its absolute hell to use

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

The mainboard power (24 pin), CPU power, (4 and 8 pin) and graphics card (PCI-E) power are all "molex" or at least in the molex style.

Whilst it's true all of those are technically molex style connectors it's widely understood amongst enthusiasts when talking about connectors that molex refers to the 4 pin sightly of square type that used to be used for HDD's, Optical drives, and some add on card supplementary power delivery needs.

If you look at the post from Phas3L0ck that you replied to you can tell that he (?) is talking about the current connectors, not the legacy 4 wire to wire connectors.

Phas3L0ck's post was in reply to Princess Cadence who wasn't aware that molex connectors are a mainstay in modern PCs, though true, we normally reference them individually. (main power, aka 24 pin, PCIe, 4/4+4/8 pin CPU power, etc.)
