Streams lagging while gaming

Hey guys, I have been looking all over and can't find a solution. The problem I am having is I am using an AOC AG322QCX (1440p/Freesync/144hz) along with 2x AOC G2460VQ6 (1080p/Freesync/60hz) either side of it.

 

When I am gaming on the main screen and trying to watch a stream/youtube video etc the video will lag aswell as sound. The rest of my system is Ryzen 2200G, RX580, 16GB 3200mhz. I have the same issue even after changing from a i7 2600 and 12GB RAM recently.

 

I have tried;

Turning off hardware acceleration in chrome

Used other browsers (Edge/Mozilla)

 

Could it either be the resolution and the GPU having trouble displaying 1 at 1440p and video at 720p/1080p? Could it be that 1 monitor is 144hz and the others at 60hz?

 

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Most likely a CPU issue. Going from an i7-2600 to a 200G isn’t exaxtly an upgrade... It’s a lot newer but you cut your threads in half. Watch your CPU usage while performing all those tasks at once.

YT videos also lag when I'm playing games in full screen, but only when I play games with vsync on (like ETS2 and Fallout). 

 

Your system might have a different issue as it's not really 1440p/144Hz capable in current AAA titles, so it might be a CPU bottleneck. Especially with hw acceleration off in the browser, your CPU might be the issue. Monitor CPU and GPU usage with MSI afterburner to confirm, test with and without a video stream running.

I mean it's an entry level Ryzen CPU, you might be running into a limitation CPU wise to multi-task.

So what happens if you cap all displays to 60Hz?
