Posted December 3, 2018 Trying to decide between the two as my main case intake fan. I need more positive pressure Similar in specs - Delta AFB1212H-R00: Dual ball bearing 2500 RPM 82.67 cfm (140.5 m3/h) 6.25 mm/H20 38.5 dBA Noctua NF-F12 iPPC-3000: SSO2 bearing 3000 RPM 109.9 cfm (186.7 m3/h) 7.63 mm/H2O 43.5 dBA The noctua moves slightly more air at full speed, but at 5dBA more in terms of loudness. My biggest question is whether there is a justifiable price, and sound level, difference between for the Noctua (about $5 USD more) for the SSO2 bearings, noise level and static pressure. Looks are not of importance! I was looking for something a little better than the Noctua PPC-2000 in 120x25, and if I had to guess, the Noctua 3K would probably perform very similarly to the Delta at 2500RPM. Delta's have just as much a fantastic reputation concerning reliability. So, is the SSO2 bearing, extra 5dBA, 3-phase motor (does the Delta have 3-phase?) and extra $5 worth getting the Noctua ppc-3000? Having my own 120VAC, 140mm, "blowiematron", I'm pretty sure that Linus' isn't a 12vdc fan. I misread you're first post and thought it said "1000RPM". I wondered how a 120mm 1000RPM fan would outperform a 2500-3000 RPM fan. Posted December 3, 2018 Also Delta fans draws too much current out of the fan headers afaik.. You can't use multiple of them on 1 header using a splitters, otherwise you might kill the motherboard..
