Just built a new pc and all of the things I download on it go straight to my ssd. How do I make them go to my hard drive? My ssd is gonna run out soon (it’s only 128gb) if I keep downloading everything onto it. Can someone please tell me how to choose what drive I want stuff to be on when I download it.

I’ve figured out how to put my steam games on the hard drive but everything else I download from chrome goes straight to the ssd

In your browser change the download location

Create a folder on your hard drive called downloads,

 

Right click the downloads folder all files currently go to > properties > location > and change it to the downloads folder you made on your hard drive

Well, depending on what browser you use, you can select a custom map to put your downloads in, or set it to manual, so you choose every time yourself

chrome's settings menu let you change location. You can direct that to any folder you want
