Why not just upgrade your CPU to be good for streaming?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Just use ReLive or the AMD setting in OBS to stream using your GPU

Not worth, for not much more you could just get an 8 core Ryzen chip + decent B450 board for around $300 or less

You don't need a new CPU if you just want to stream your gameplay

If you were going to spend money it's incredibly easy to replace your CPU/Motherboard with an 8 core R7 chip vs the 4 core i7. Since you already have DDR4.

New is only $260 right now, the R7 1700 was on sale for $149 not too long ago. Going by ebay it's pretty close in price to get an R7 CPU + Motherboard rather than just buying a 7700K

Cant i just use the motherboard that i have right now? or is it incompatible also thx for helping.

You'd just need an AM4 motherboard, that board should go to at least 3.8.ghz, but I wouldn't go over 1.35V unless you stick a fan over the VRAM(1.4V max), preferably you'd spend a bit more and just get a better board, like any X470 board, though maybe that money would be better spent on an R7 2700...

And you probably want an 8 core for sure for the extra stuff, since you're basically getting i7s in the same system if you want to think of it like that 4 cores/8 threads for the game, 4 cores/8 threads for OBS

Here's one voltage curve, any chip you get will vary of course.

You could also just try changing your encoder to use your GPU in OBS, but ReLive has green screen/web cam options

Hey thx man for the tips also what board would you pic for me?? I have money to spend like my max budget is 500$ so I can pic the something great but witch one should I pic? The 2700 or the 2700x? But will it fit on my pc? That’s the only thing that I worry about honestly. That when I buy the part it apparently doesn’t fit or work. And then I loose all my money. Just for double checking this is my whole setup. So will it work? Or do I need a new case or power supply. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GQqppG

@STRMfrmXMN Ever seen that model? Ultra - X4

PC parts are standard and modular and you have a full sized ATX case, you just can't use an AMD CPU on an intel board

And if you have an older CPU cooler it may not support AM4

Those motherboards were like $109 a week ago.

*If you can find an R7 2700 used on the cheap it's likely worth it, maybe $240 max, retail is like $280 right now.
The R7 1700 is likely to hit 3800-3900 easily, the R7 2700 is more at 4100-4200

And just buy 16GBs of 3000mhz RAM at a later date.

I think the settings they used in this video were overkill, but basically the 8 cores will get your 100% of frames delivered without impacting your streaming side fps.

honestly brother, idk where the heck i got that powersuply from, i told my dad at a very young age to buy these stuff, and this is what he came with. Also on the buying cpu part, is it safe to buy used pc parts used??? Even more when its going on your main pc? And also can i go with the 2700x? or do you just think its a waste of money and and power???

You can just overclock the non X parts to have the same performance.

Used CPUs are fine assuming you buy from a good seller, ebay has lots of protections for buyers.

Any of the 120mm air coolers are fine, that one is just cheap atm. Ryzen doesn't use too much power even with an overclock for normal workloads.

120mm AIOs are a waste of money because they aren't much better than the cheap air coolers unless the case is too small to fit an air cooler.

240mm AIOs compete with larger air coolers, but you don't want a cheap one either.

I don't think the R7 2700 is worth $100 more than the R7 1700, but if you just want the higher clocks go for it.

The Ryzen 2000 chips hit about 4.2ghz at best, 4ghz is easy on them

You can see what voltage to need to hit a clock here
