Side panel display

Hi i did the side panel display.

I need advise on backlight. I have thermatake core v21. I did the mod with old 15 inch 800X600 philips monitor (model 150s5). Monitor is ok buh i having problems on backlight. The panel is very dark. And i peeled the anti glare list.

do you have any LEDS in the back to provide some backlight? also, do you have any white components in there or is it mostly black? this mod works best with cases that reflect lots of light.

It is all black. I got 5m led strips. Whitch is the best light poaition? From side of the panel or all inside case?

If all inside case will my psu handle 5m led strip?

My specs

Cpu- Intel g4560

Graphics card- Gtx 1060 3gb

Ram- 8gb ddr4 2133

1sata ssd

1 2.5hdd

1 3.5hdd

Psu sama 600w semi modular

You need a fair bit but shouldn't require that much, a strip that goes around all 4 sides (SMD 5050) should be enough to make the LCD visible. What does it look like now, post up a photo.

If those are the regular ledstrips you can get for pretty cheap they are most likely 1A per meter at 12Volts.

I would try to make what is behind the screen very white and preferably the same, then like @W-L said led strips around all the corners.


Also check this video if you havent, shows that the inside is very very VERY bright to make it look good.
