8700 is 6 core.  Don't buy a 7700K with its 4 cores.

Go to https://pcpartpicker.com/ and put in all of your current part picks it checks if they are compatible for you.

Nothing is, the future is unknown.

That being said, yeah the 8700 will probably be good for 3 years.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Yes, but instead you can get an H370 instead of Z370 because you said you didn't want to overclock.

So then do u plan on overclocking with it? I think you should just get the 8700k and then watch a YouTube overclocking tutorial, pretty worth it. Might as well let the motherboard reach its full potential.

@fasauceome I may in the future buy a K cpu and the K version is out my budget as it adds like 100 more and I cannot afford that. The mobo if its compatible will stay and il slowly upgrade through out the 2 years. Thanks for all your help
