Xbox App On PC [Help!]

Noobie question, 

 

But okay, If I get a game from the Microsoft store to play on my PC.. It's on Xbox?.. I am so confused if im looking to get Forza Horizon 4 for PC I am currently playing the Demo and it made me make a Xbox account, Do i have to buy Xbox live to play online?

If its marked as an Xbox "play anywhere" game, then you can play it on pc. Yes you'll need Live to play online

That's not true, not on pc anyways. I've played both FH3 and FH4 on pc, both offline and online, and never did I have to purchase xbox live for it.

Im talking about online with other players, not the ai drivatars in open world and offline races. With FH4 (on pc without paying for xbox live) it defaults you to online lobbies with other players automatically. You just need to make a free xbox account and that's it.

Did you buy the game from your PC or from an Xbox console?

Wherever you are playing the demo from, you can play the game from when you buy it. Pretty sure you can play it on both if it's a play anywhere title.

Nope, Xbox Live is 100% free through Microsoft Rewards. To this day, I have never paid for Xbox Live and I've had an Xbox Live gamertag for over a decade.
