So I've been browsing through stores here in Portugal and I've found a 1060 6gb expedition at 269€ which is a steal. The problem is my gaming system is an oldie, so I'd like some tips. I'm going to build a new pc this January but would love to enjoy this sale that ends November 30th. I  would like to know if I should get the 1060 and if it won't damage or under perform my current pc until I get the new one.
Currend pc:

Amd FX 6100 six core at 3,7 GHZ

MOBO Msi 930A Sli Krait Edition

DDR3 2x4 GB
Nvidia GT 640

CoolerMaster 500 watts power supply (don't know the model tho)

You can always upgrade the PC piece by piece. If you see a part now that you think you won't be able to get for a better price in the future I would go ahead and buy it. Computers are fairly modular with the exception of CPUs and motherboards.

My exact thought... Because the 1060 I talked about is usually about 310€... thank you for the fast reply
P.S: Check my edited post and let me know if your opinion is the same :3

Everything need an upgrade, to be fairly blunt your PC is a steaming potatoe that can keep your house heated in the winter. I would go ahead and get the 1060 6GB, followed by and upgrade a DDR4 platform ASAP, then upgrade your PSU (perferably with the CPU) followed by storage and if you want a new one a case. You may see some slight increase in performance upgrading to the 1060 but you won't see anything major until you get a new CPU.
