G sync worth it?

Is it really worth it paying $200 more for a monitor with the exact specs as a $500 one but with g sync, I'm using it for gaming and nothing else really. gpu: asus strix oc gtx 1070. I play high gpu demanding games and games like csgo with high fps. Thx!

Not worth it unless you get a great deal on one. Personally have it and it's not worth the extra premium.

no only if you have cash and want to buy 144 hz 21:9 monitor that would help but if you playing cs go isn't worth it

people will say not worth it until you owned and used it and appreciated it for a little while...personally if my monitor die tomorrow i'm ordering another 1440p high refresh Gsync panel ASAP.

because its amazing and until you've tried it and used it for a while like i said you don't know what you're talking about and you're under the assumption that it's not worth it.

I have an X34P and it is really nice to have, but I still don't think it's worth $200+

then maybe you don't value a flawless gaming experience as much as i do?

Maybe 200$ is a bigger deal to you than it is to me?

or...maybe, you forgot what it is to play with screen tearing and micro-sttutering all over the screen? Maybe you should disable Gsync for a week and come back and tell me how it was? ?

Thing is, I have a 1080, and my old monitor was 2560x1080 60hz, and V-Sync was always on, so I never dipped below 60 in any game ever, so I just never noticed a change because I never had screen tearing.

Not everyone, read the reply above mine. I just see it as a feature I'd want, I've used a monitor with it before and enjoyed it. $200 isn't much when you factor in the fact a monitor usually lasts several builds.

i can understand that then, from your point of view the only benefit you ''seem'' to have gotten out of this is a faster refresh rate and better response time...but if you compare that Gsync high refresh to a NON Gsync High refresh you would instantly notice the screen tearing how disgusting it can get in many if not most games, and if you turn on Vsync on a 120hz+ monitor then you'll always be locked at half rate and things are sluggish and un-responsive.

Personally, high refresh rate Gsync is where it's at...nothing as ever even came close to this setup in terms of screen responsiveness and absolute smootness of animation...and there is something good about knowing your expensive hardware is paying off because you get to see EVERY frame your system puts out, and you see them entirely...you're finally getting your money's worth IMHO and a good gaming screen is somthing you'll use for at least 5 years in general so 200$ over 5 years is nothing really (at least to me it's worth every penny).
