Choice 1 : Get the 1070 TI and then get the Intel Core i9-9900K Processor (8x 3.60GHz/16MB L3 Cache).

Choice 2 : Get the RTX 2070 and then get the Intel Core i7-8700K Processor (6x 3.70GHz/12MB L3 Cache

Well depending on the games and the resolution/frame rate you want, which is preferred?

 

id take the stronger card and hope an 8700k could keep up. Seeing how mine pefroms, I’d go with 9900k and get a better card later if need be.

Are you going to just game or are you going to do professional content creation work while gaming and streaming all at the same time that justifies the need for the i9 9900K?

 

You can go RTX 2080 with an i7 8700K perfectly fine, as it is about the same as many people going i7 8700K GTX 1080 Ti which was the gaming build dream not long ago.

 

Tthe i9 9900K can only grant a few extra fps at 1080p with a RTX 2080 Ti,  for the most part if you'll just game with nothing else running on the background/side there is no real gaming performance improvements to justify the much higher cost, specially if you're going 1440p.
