upgrading to 32gb ram with worse ram

I currently have 16gb of some pretty awesome ram (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232181)  and am buying 16gb of cheaper ddr4 ram (https://www.amazon.com/Ballistix-Single-PC4-21300-288-Pin-Memory/dp/B01N5P755B/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1543263660&sr=1-2&keywords=8gb%2Bddr4&th=1)  with worse clocks and timings and all that. If I try to combine them later on for 32 gb of ram, would my good ram have to under perform to work well with the worse ram?

Why do you even need that much RAM?

Check your motherboard manual and make sure you put the "better performing" RAM in the "better performing" RAM slots, and there shouldn't be any performance drop, though maybe even a slight gain (around 1 less frame drop per hour).

Depending on a CPU and motherboard, it might not even work.

What would most likely happen is your "good RAM" will match the timings and speed of your "worse RAM".

What do you mean by "better performing RAM slots"? A DIMM slot is a DIMM slot, there's no difference between them except color.

The good RAM would be throttled by the system to perform equally to the cheap RAM (pretty sure that's how it works anyways), so you would be severely bottlenecked depending on how much worse the RAM is.

the worse ram is for a different build that I would eventually not need
