Best Performer $70 GPU?

Hello good people..

 

I'm upgrading my father's old PC part by part..

I gave him some of my good unused parts that I had.

Now I'm looking for a GPU, he said that he doesn't need a beefy GPU one, but I still want to get him a best performer at $70 range for a 1080p monitor. The processor is Intel Core 2 Duo E7500

 

Could someone feed me with some recommendation from NVIDIA only.. Why NVIDIA only, because he want it!

Local used 760? If you're REALLY lucky you may find a 960 for ~80 if someone really wants to get rid of it.

Honestly I tend to find 760s and 960s priced relatively similarly. Just give it a month or two and setup alerts on your local craigslist/equivalent. You'll find one.

760/770/960 will be your best bet. Honestly I'd probably go for a 770 over a 960, you should get a couple extra frames out of it

I found these:

GTX 570, 580, 660, 680, 750Ti, 760,

GT 1030

Quadro 2000, 4000, FX3800, FX5500

 

Those I found at $70 and less in my local used markets.

 

Could it be the GT 1030? Or....?

I'd go with the 760 tbh. Especially if it's an after market cooler design. I'd probably take the 750 Ti over the 1030 also.

So gtx 760 is the top tier in this list? No love for the Quadro?

 

The 760 is MSI Twin Frozr, but it has 8pin+6pin power connector, concern for the PSU now..

Well, which one? There are different versions of a "4000"

 

edit: but probably still the 760. Similarly priced workstation cards are likely either similar or slightly worse.

This is the only 760 I can found at $70, but its physical condition is bad.. So rustic..

it's not for me.. It's for my father..

 

I want to get him the best out of $70 GPU I can get..

 

Is 750 Ti better than 760? because 750 Ti has more clock and newer than 760
