I'm so happy, I'm upgrading from a Core 2 Duo E6750!

It is an R5 2600 and the wrapped thing is a 3TB Toshiba hard drive.

It isn't anything special but for me, it's like a godsend!

Too bad that my Superflux Headphones don't work anymore, the cable broke - I would fix it myself but they are still under warranty so I'll go and change them.

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600  /  Motherboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk  /  GPU: PowerColor RED DEVIL RX480 / GT 730 [retired]  /  RAM: 16GB 3000Mhz Teamgroup T-Force Vulcan  /  PSU: Seasonic Focus Gold Plus 550W  /  HDD: 3TB Toshiba P300 + 320GB Seagate / Case: Phanteks P400A  / Sentimental value 2006 case [retired]..... Quite beautiful. Personally I would've gone with an all-SSD build because of the silence :)

I have a build for that too! :D a "gaming" computer from the early 2000s with a 9000RPM Thermaltake CPU cooler!

Weill it's pretty expensive for to even get this. So SSD built was out of the question  :D  still I got the 3TB drive for 90 so I'm pretty happy. Will be using my GT 730 for a display adapter, pathetic - it isn't even mine, a friend gave it for free to me.

The SSD was like 50-60$? Cheap as hell as well.

Ooh I got most of my things used from eBay. If I had gone all new it would've cost me $1,700 USD. I only spent $800 :) I really got lucky when I found my MSI 1070 Gaming X for $240 on eBay. Retail was like $500.

I live in a shitty place and dealing with eBay or Amazon is not as easy, but after the hassle, I had with the company I bought from - I think it is worth it. For my GPU I'm going used though. But NEW is my dream :D

My whole build is 720$ so far. Gonna get a GPU for about 300$ and I'm set.

Congratulations! What case you going to use?

†

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
        In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
        In Flanders fields.

All the pieces of your computer are just screwed to the wall or something?

Kudos!!!  I picked up a GTX 1070 ROG Strix today second hand for $200. Always feels good to update the system when you can. Definitely want to make the jump into a Ryzen like you did soon. My little Xeon runs pretty well, but the platform is starting to show its age.

CPU:  AMD Ryzen 5 3600(Stock Clock)

Cooler: EVGA CLC 280

Motherboard: ASUS X570 TUF Gaming Plus WiFi

I'm so happy, I'm upgrading from a Core 2 Duo E6750!

Wow, you are gonna feel like you've sped through time in a delorian - seriously though, good one, I had an e6750 back in 2007-ish for a few years until I upgraded to a hex core AMD Phenom II in around 2010? and even back them the difference was huge.

Congrats :)

Even with my broken harddrive I feel so much faster, I de/compress and install things so much quicker, no more loading tabs for 2 min in chrome and crashing when I open a few apps.

Yes, I can't stand waiting for stuff - when I have to fix some PCs I end up multi0tasking when I can as it's sooo boring if not, lol

Did you OC your CPU? if so what did you end up settling for?
