PC buying advice

ChengPeng

Hi in a week or two I'd like to buy myself a new gaming rig for about 1400 USD total , I thought of a curved samsung 1080p144 freesync ryzen 5 2600X and a 580 8gb to utilise free sync , i do have about 600-700 USD of my own money (my parents will fund my pc building endeavor) will this be enough for an rx680  + maybe a zen 2 cpu?, my question is will a 580 8gb do 1080p60 ultra in demanding games for 5-6 months /till a replacement from amd is out (vega is overpriced as he'll here)?

OK Breakdown for formatting

Budget: 1400 USD or 2000-2100 if you meant that 1400 is what your parents will contribute and your 6-700 is on top of that

Current Intended Parts list:

A Quick Build up, minus the case, since this is more a personal preference and the OS

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VRfNsZ $1189

I'd say with the case and OS, it'll be close, but I did give 16gb ram, and you could knock that down to a 8 gb to save money. You could have some wiggle room then, especially if the 1400 is only your parents side. Also if you have hdd or ssd or psu or case from a current computer you could use for this, then you can save a heap there. As for waiting for 2nd gen ryzen and new gpus, I personally would wait to see if you can. Ryzen chips are priced very competitively, and at the very least might bring down the price of the current gen chips for you.

Insanity is not the absence of sanity, but the willingness to ignore it for a purpose. Chaos is the result of this choice. I relish in both.

For the same prince, I'll get a GeForce something instead of a amd Rx 580 because you’ll have increased performance, like a gtx 1060 or 1070
