8+cm Mic stand?

I need a microphone stand with an 8cm (or more) clamp. I have the Ikea Alex desk, which is 8cm (3 1/4") thick. I need a new mic stand, as I have my current one mounted to the back of my monitor, and my mic is either next to my loud gaming PC and picking up background noise, or covering my monitor. I would like to mount it to my desk but the clamp is too small. Does anyone have any affordable reccomendations? The current mic I have is the common NW-800 (NEEWER branded).

Neewer does have a budget mic stand on amazon for like 20$, has a wide mounting bracket. Its not the best quality however and does like to wobble and such.

That is the microphone stand I currently have, it has a 4-5cm clamp. I need a larger clamp to fit my desk.

You'll either have to modify an existing clamp or get an arm that supports an insert like the PSA1:

You'd need to do something like this with the Alex desk:

I had that one for a while, it was fairly small and didn't support my mic (Audio Technica AT2020 USB) very well, and it's not even a very massive/heavy mic. The arm also broke after a few months. Very cheaply made, would not recommend.

This is the Neewer one for those interested: https://amzn.to/2vGh84L

I'd recommend this one if anything: https://amzn.to/2B85PYe

It's a bit more expensive, but I've seen it in person, it's a beast. Holds up even a Blue Yeti with a shock mount with ease, and is much higher quality than the Neewer one.

Mine wouldn't keep the end up, which made positioning my mic a pain. Maybe mine was just a bad apple.

I found the bolt that helped tighten that hinge near the head of the stand strips SUUUPER easily so maybe that was it then..

Yeah, I tightened that one a bit and the nut stripped, then I got some better nuts for it and ended up snapping the bolt. Still couldn't hold up my mic properly when tightened before it broke.
