Is it possible to find a somewhat good gaming monitor for around 100 dolars

You aren't going to find much beyond 1080p 60hz there. Maybe the used market but you might be asking for too much. That being said, 1080p60 is still a fine experience.

A quick filtered search of newegg comes up with these

 

refurbished viewsonic: only requirements I used were 5ms gtg or lower and over 60hz.  I went in the 24-26" range because you'll get more per dollar

 

And this is over your budget by a sizeable amount but this Acer is the cheapest new product with the same criteria.
