Overclocking with i5-8600k

Albatrozz

Hi

im doing a build with an i5-8600k and want to overclock it. It'll be my first time overclocking and im not fully aware of which fans are great. Was thinking of the evo 212 or the cryorig h7. Could use some help finding the best fan. I'm not looking for watercooling though.

The Cryorig H7 comes with a good fan, but I don't know much about case fans

Get the H7. Or if you really want a beast (if it fits your case) the R1 Ultimate :P  Anyway that's more expensive and it's huge.

The H7 is better than the 212 from what I've gathered :)

Crystal: CPU: i7 7700K | Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z270F | RAM: GSkill 16 GB@3200MHz | GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti FE | Case: Corsair Crystal 570X (black) | PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 1000W | Monitor: Asus VG248QE 24"

Laptop: Dell XPS 13 9370 | CPU: i5 10510U | RAM: 16 GB

Server: CPU: i5 4690k | RAM: 16 GB | Case: Corsair Graphite 760T White | Storage: 19 TB

Then go with the H7 it will give you more headroom for overclocking than the 212 EVO.

The actual sum you are ready to invest? Good air cooler will serve you much longer than any fancy AIO.
