Should I leave my case open?

B14NK

So I just bought a new graphics  card to throw into my computer and realized the case's air flow is really fucked up with it installed. As you can see in the first picture, the graphics card's fan on the left is pointed directly towards the power supply on the right. In the next picture, part of other fans are pointed right at a bunch of cables. That said, what should I do to fix this? I think it'll overheat if I leave it with the case closed so leaving it open might be alright, but even then I'm not so sure.

P.S. Sorry for the horrible cable management.

Have you tried running some stress tests with the case closed and seeing what temps you are getting?

Also, if you have feet on the bottom of your case(or if you were to elevate with some books) you could flip the PSU and drill some holes in the case

No, I've never tried any sort of stress tests (I'm very new to dealing with computers myself). Where should I go to run some?

Personally, I'm a fan of AIDA64 Extreme

Also, if you have room you could drill holes in the side panel of your case and mount a fan that blows directly onto the card/PSU, if it's even needed.

Do you know of any testing applications that are totally free (Not something like a 30-Day trial)?

OCCT is good one for CPU, for GPU Unigine Heaven and Valley. Check temps with case close and open. You wille get more dust with sidepanel open. I would recommend you start saving for new case or do some cutting with current. Like vents top of PSU so you can turn it around. That would help bit. Or vent on side panel to add fan there. (pics aren't the best btw, had to turn my head around to understand you have inverted case, would guess its old prebuild).

those wires might hit the fan of the gpu... scary, if you can save up more you can buy a new case.

for the mean time your pc will run, but on the long run it might not last long.

I don't think the wires will actually touch the fan, I'm not constantly moving it around or anything.

I'd leave the case open until you can get a better one. There's only one case fan, and the graphics card and power supply have no access to fresh air. You can take a look at the In Win 101, NZXT s340 elite, or phanteks eclipse p400 and p300 if you want.

As long as your cables don't hit any fans, cables don't restrict airflow
