I was working through math questions when I hit the following question:

 

An orchardist has a grove of 50 orange trees each producing 800 oranges each. Every extra tree planted in the grove will reduce the output for every tree in the grove by 10 oranges. How many extra trees should be planted to maximise the total output?

 

So far I had formulated the equation 400000-490x

Which I know is very incorrect, could someone point out how to evaluate the information and form a function? Just a hint in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
