Will my GTX 970 run 1440p 144hz Gaming

I'm curious rather my GTX 970 Exact Card can run 1440p 144hz on modern games. Looking for someone who knows for sure no really a assumption. I don't mind bumping setting down to high/medium. Open to monitor recommendations and also is it worth it? *Note my current displays are both 60Hz 1080p monitor.

Games like overwatch or csgo should run that at low to medium settings. AAA games might not get 144fps at 1440p even at minimum settings

i currently have a 970 and am running 1440p 144hz, I can get 144hz on overwatch and csgo, while around 70-80 on bf1.

Perhaps if you set them to med-low, shouldn't be a big problem though for esports games. 

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

I have a 1060 with 1440p144hz. You do have to drop down settings to like medium sometimes, even more so with a 970. eSports titles run perfectly at max settings. I can however recommend getting a nice monitor now so have a nice monitor for a very long time. 

 

I would make a synthetic resolution and run games at 1440p on your 1080p panels and see if you can manage the FPS/settings drop, keeping in mind g-sync
