About to drop my 1440p monitor for another 1200p

So I've been using 1440p monitors for about 6 years and while I love their resolution over 1080p, my first impressions of 16:10 is making me think of going full 16:10. Right now I use a Dell 2516D 1440p and a Dell 2415 1200p monitor. For some reason looking at a 1080p monitor just disgusts me. It seems like the image is out of wack; probably because I've used 1440p for so long. However looking at 1200p the image just feels so much nicer to look at especially for gaming. I really wish they made 1200p 144hz monitors but I know it will probably never happen. I think I'm going to sell my 1440p soon for another 1200p 16:10 monitor.

As it happens, I'm using a triple monitor setup right now with a 2560×1440, a 1920×1200, and a 1920×1080 monitor. I definitely prefer the 1920×1200 over the 1080, it feels much larger despite being the same size. However, I still prefer the 1440p over both of them. The extra desktop space is very good for me, since I work a lot with programming and spreadsheets, so more pixels means you can fit more stuff. For gaming though it's aspect ratio rather than resolution that determines what is visible on the screen, so for gaming 1440p will give you the same image (with finer detail, but same field of view) as a 1080p monitor so it might not feel much larger. Personal preference and use case I guess.
