I'd get the 2nd one, although I'd get faster RAM and probably spend less on the case.

Intel Core i5-7500: 8022

Ryzen 5 1400: 8470

The Ryzen 5 1400 is about %5.5 better.

Went a little over budget to get the 1600. You also forgot to add storage. In case you didn't forget it, just remove it from this list. I changed the case to the windowed, non TG version of the case

Oh, I misread it.

The Ryzen 1600 won't bottleneck a 1050 Ti.

You can see here that the Ryzen 1600 is very capable for games.

You can see here how the 1050 Ti does.

Overclocking can give you maybe 10% extra performance

still not better value for the price .if you want intel wait for coffeelake before order, it will announce tomorrow & you might get 6core i5 if they dont go nuts on price..otherwise not much point to go for i5 7600k now when you can get ryzen 1600 at better future proof value for price.

The 1600 has 12 threads, 8 more than the 7600K, and 2 more cores than the 7600K. The 7600K also more expensive, since Z270 boards cost more than B350 boards, and you'll also have to buy a cooler separately. The 7500 has about the same single core performance as an overclocked Ryzen. There is absolutely no reason to get it.

Intel's Coffee Lake CPUs are going to be shown off tomorrow, so maybe wait for that.

yes mate, micro center offers nice price for sure, but honestly I would wait a day more to see if could squeeze 2 cores more within budget..coffeelake i3 supposed to have 4 cores even. check this post that you might find interesting.

yes coffee lake I3 locked/unlocked both will have 4core 4 thread as well, so pretty much i5 will become i3 in 8th gen :P & coffeelake i5 will have 6 cores/ 6 thread
