P2416D

pomkon

Anyone using it? it seems it is discontinued at my area. I can get it for usd190$, but when i look at the specs, it seems outdated.

Why is it fake 8 bit (6 bit+FRC), I have only seen models with fake 10 bit, and true 8 bit during my 4k monitor research recently. Yet it covers 99% RGB.

Only 1 hdmi, 1 dp and 1 vga, the I/O is worst then the cheaper 1080p U2414H, which has minidp, dp mst, 2 hml.

The question is, is it a good model, and should i buy it?

Almost all standard monitors are 6 bit + FRC, true 8-bit monitors are quite rare except as 8 bit + FRC monitors. True 10 bit monitors are even more rare. It's not that big of a deal anyway, dithering is pretty much indistinguishable from full thing.

It's not an UltraSharp, it's not really intended for super power users. 1 DP 1 HDMI is sufficient for people with 1 or 2 devices, most PCs have at least 1 DP output and most laptops have at least 1 HDMI or DP output.

Perhaps the most 4K are true 8bit, when I was searching on monitor comparison.com. I really want P 2415q, or u2477pwq or newly found philips 2416pv... but no deals seen on them. So i want to know if this 2k p2416d is good for the price.
