AMD heat sink won't fit on cpu

I've been trying to put on my heat sink on to the cpu for the past hour and it just looks like too much force is needed to clip both on. I can't understand the instruction manual as it says to clip on both at the same time. 

 

As you can see one will clip on and the other one won't. If one latches on the other one will come free

Okay I just managed to put it on with ALOT of force if anyones reading this you must apply a lot of force and have the latch in the more free and open position

The system sucks, but that's how it works. You attach one side, then the opposite. It always felt like I'm about to break something due to the amount of pressure, but it went in.

Notice that the latch moves horizontally. Hence, pull it to one side, then fit it on that side and push it back so it can't get loose again, then lower it from the remaining side (which has some form of lever to finish the job if I remember correctly).
