Fps drops for 10 sec after a short period of playing

This problem started a while ago . I noticed that sometimes , in overwatch ,  my fps dropped from 120-140 to 50 . I didnt really care at that time because it didnt really annoy me . Now it got worse . This happens is almost every game and the fps drops to 20  I noticed that when this happens the  audio also gets distorted . I tried reistalling the games , windows and nothing has worked so far . Any clues on what i should do ?

Specs? also, are you overclocking? check your temps, voltage ratings, etc.

so what about voltages? try running some stress tests like aida64, prime95 and/or heaven benchmark. if you get the same behavior, then your psu might be failing. Have you gotten blue or black screens at any point?

ok so it does seem hardware related, possibly the psu. Worst case scenario, your cpu or mobo is dying but I doubt it. Try with a different psu.

i think it might be the mobo because the usb ports on the back now hardly work . i cant connect a usb anymore because it doesnt recognize it when i plug it in .

oh you didn't mention that, in that case yes, your mobo might be the one failing here.
