Speedfan Kills Cursor

Today I installed Speedfan, every time I open the software, my cursor can't move, both with my trackpoint (the red dot on thinkpads which moves the cursor) and my trackpad.  It only stops once I restart my computer.

Actually it's not a big issue now because my USB mouse works with Speedfan, but I'd still like to know why this happens and how I can fix this issue.
